Biography

Jordan Harris along with his wife, Sarah, came to Montgomery County, Indiana in a covered wagon. They settled in a small settlement, Darlington, and raised 11 children. They are buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Darlington, Montgomery County, Indiana.

Sources

Carolyn Harris went to the Cemetery, IOOF Cemetery, with her husband and observed the stone with Jordan and Sarah's names on it. Their last child, Blanche, is buried there also; date of observation-1999.

My father, Raymond W. Harris, told me in 1954 that his grandparents, Jordan and Sarah, came to Montgomery County, Indiana in a covered wagon.
