He was born on 02 Nov 1708 in Virginia and his father of record was Robert Harris (some descendants claim DNA evidence that proves John was the child of Robert's second wife, Anne, who was a widow, and fathered by her first husband, said to be Edward Fuller; pregnant at the time of the marriage, the laws of the time legally declared Robert Harris his father, see Robert's profile research notes for details). His mother may have been Mary Wooten, or perhaps Anne (_____) Fuller.
John was named in the will of Robert Harris, which Robert wrote on 27 Jun 1712, in York Hampton Parish, Virginia. He added a codicil on 6 July 1712. His will was presented and proved during the November 1716 session of the York County, Virginia, court.[1]
John Harris married about 1729 in Virginia to Agnes Hutchinson.
He died about 1763.
Possible inventory of estate (date does not match that given on this profile, but was in York where he lived, and estate contains shoemakers tools, which, aside from some livestock, were his primary inheritance from Robert Harris, since both his elder brothers survived and kept the land given them):
