Biography

Anna (Harris) Dabney died after Nov. 1781 in Bedford Co., Virginia - Widow Anne (Harris) Dabney in Bedford Co., Va. in Nov. 1781 when she consented for her (underage) daughter Lucy to marry Thomas McReynolds.


Anna Harris [1] was born on March 31, 1724[2][3]. Her father was Major Robert Harris (1700-1765)[4] and her mother was Mourning Glenn (1702-1770). Her father, Major Robert Harris served in the House of Burgesses from Haover, surveyor Louisa, officer Albermale militia. Large land owner from grand and purchase. Lived in Borwn’s Cover.[5] Her siblings included Tyree Harris, who was born on April 8; and Christopher Harris, who was born February 24, 1725, and married Miss Chapman. Ann (Anna) Harris married John Dabney [6]. She died around 1775[7].
