England and Wales Census, 1881: Living with her parents and five siblings in Braunton, Devon, England. Aged 10 and a Scholar.
When she was 10 the family emigrated from England to New Zealand, departing Gravesend on 3 December 1881 arriving on 10 March 1882 on the "Oxford". The voyage took 98 days with Captain Braddock in command.
The family settled on land in No.1 Road, Te Puke under the George Vesey Stewart scheme.
Scott-Harris.- June 1, at Holy Trinity Church, Tauranga, New Zealand, by the Rev. Charles Jordan, B.A., Incumbent, Arundell Freke, youngest son of George Scott, I.C.S., Blackmore Hall, Devon, to Lucie Ethel Maud, second daughter of William Prole Harris, of Lynwood, Te Puke, N.Z., formerly of The Firs, Braunton, North Devon.[3]
They had at least one son; George Edward (who tragically died in the 1st World War, aged 21).
In the 1896 NZ Electoral Rolls she and her husband were living in Te Puke, where they were farming.
PRENTIS — HARRIS: At Rotorua, on 25 August, Edward Lowther Prince Prentis of Maketu to Lucie Ethel Maude, second daughter of William Prole Harris of Orangi, Rotorua, late of Lynwood, Te Puke. Home papers please copy. [4]
They had three children; Edmund, Dorothy and Lilac.
In the 1905 NZ Electoral Rolls she and her husband Edward were living in Maketu, where Edward was a Carpenter.
Her husband died in 1921.
She passed away in 1941 at the age of 70.
