Biography
The Harris family moved from Virginia to Pulaski Co. Kentucky between 1804 1nd 1805.
Mother Mary Anne Harris died in 1821 and sister Sarah's husband, Achilles, became guardian for the minor Harris children.

Property settlement - these proceedings were all done in Circuit Court in Chancery sitting
"This indenture of bargain and sale made on the _day of October 1821 between Aaron Sargent, Commissioner for Lawrence Vanhook and Mary Ann, his wife, late Mary Ann Harris, Achilles Jasper and Sally, his wife, late Sally Harris, Rhoda Harris, Tyre Harris, Jemima Harris, Elemuel Harris and Benjamin Harris, heirs and legal representatives of Benjamin Harris deceased."
He married Elizabeth Cash.
