Biography

Thomas Francis Harris was born 28 July 1883[1][2][3] in Tennessee.

In 1900, Frances T. Harris, 16 b. July 1883, lived with his parents, Frank and Roda B. Harris, and 5 siblings in Civil District 2, Williamson, Tennessee.[4]

On 22 Jan 1914, Francis Harris and Nancy Edwards were married in Williamson County, Tennessee, by Z. Sullivan, Minister of the Gospel.[5] Based on US Census and other records, Thomas and Nancy had at least the following children:

  • daughter Ovalle (Avie) Harris, b. ca. 1914
  • Thomas Eaceal Harris,b. ca. 1916
  • Cora D Harris, b. ca. 1918
  • Lucile C Harris, b. ca. 1919
  • Zelma Harris, b. ca. 1922

  • daughter Hazel Harris, b. ca. 1925
  • son Othell/Oprel Harris, b. ca. 1926
  • son Oden Harris, b. ca. 1929

When he registered for the World War 1 Draft, Thomas Francis Harris said he was 35 years old, born on 28 July 1883. He lived at 1 Boston, where he farmed. His nearest relative was his wife, Nancy E. Harris of the same address. Thomas was of medium height and build, with blue eyes and brown hair.[3]

In 1920, Thomas Harris, a 36 year old farmer b. Tennessee, lived on a farm he owned on Flag Pole Road, Civil District 2, Williamson, Tennessee, with his wife Nancie and four children.[6]

In 1930, Francis Harris, a farmer, lived at 146 Pine Wood Road, District 2, Williamson, Tennessee, with his wife Nancy and 9 children.[7]

In 1940, T.F. Harris, a 56 year old farm laborer, lived on Right Lick Creek, Civil District 2, Williamson, Tennessee, with his wife Nancy and 4 children.[8]

Thomas Harris died on 30 July 1970.[2] He is buried at the Greenbrier Cemetery, Franklin, Williamson, Tennessee.[1]
