He passed away on April 27, 1942 in Sharon Grove, Todd County, Kentucky and is buried in Gant Cemetery.^[1][2][3]

Research Notes

Where was Joel in 1870? There is a 21 year old Joel Harris living with the Henry M and Martha Wells family in Malta, Morgan County, Ohio and working in the local "Sash and Door" Factory, but his birth place is listed as Ohio instead of Kentucky. In 1860 Joel was not living with that family and he had left by 1880:
