Sergeant Gordon Harris RAMC was Killed in Action during World War II.

Gordon was born in 1923. [1] He was the son of Joseph Harris and Lily Manning.

Gordon married Myra Bright in 1943 in Surrey, England.[2] They had one son: Richard Gordon (b. 1944, d. 1985).

Gordon enlisted to fight in the 2nd World War. He attained the rank of Sergeant with the Royal Army Medical Corps. Service Number: 7263936

Secondary Unit, Regiment attd. H.Q. 6th Airborne Division.

He was a Prisoner of War at Stalag XII-D at Waldbreitbach, Rhineland-Palatinate. POW Number: 70486[3]

Tragically he was killed in action at the battle of Normandy, France on D-Day, 6 June 1944. He was aged just 21.
