Martha “Mattie” Harriss or Harris was born on 26 Dec 1805 in Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina, USA. She was the daughter of Johnson C Harriss and Anna Irene Garrett. She passed away on 1 Nov 1894 (aged 88) and was buried on 2 Nov 1894 in Section B in Overton City Cemetery, Overton, Rusk County, Texas, USA.[1]
