Biography

Mary J Harris, born 18 Sep 1841, was a daughter of Matthew Harris and Harriet (Stephenson) Harris (1821-1906). She was counted in 1850 at age 8 among her birth family in Naples, New York, and likewise throughout her youth and adolescence ^[1],^[2],^[3]. Charted depictions of her birth family are:

Mary married in 1863 at Naples, New York, Paul Paul Sprague (1838-1921), an American Civil War combat veteran. They resided in 1865 in Naples, New York ^[6], but soon thereafter moved to Michigan, where they settled in Antioch Township, Wexford County ^[7],^[8],^[9],^[10].

Mary Jane (Harris) Sprague died in 1928 at age 37 of flu and pneumonia ^[11]. Her grave is in Antioch Township Cemetery, Mesick, Wexford County, Michigan, USA ^[12].
