Jonathan was married to Elizabeth Harris on October 14, 1801, in Campbell County, Virginia. Signing as their surety was William Harris.[1] Jonathan had been raised as a Quaker, however Elizabeth was a Methodist. The marriage caused Jonathan to be disowned by the Quakers for a marriage out of unity.
She passed away in 1864.
