Biography

Joel was born in 1831. He was the son of John Harris and Nancy Haden. He lived briefly in El Dorado, CA where he was a gold minter along with his brother John. He then moved back to Polk County, OR, where he passed away in 1854, age 23. He is buried at the Butler Davidson Cemetery. A probate record from Feb 1856 showed he "died intestate". John G Harris was the administrator of his estate.
