Anne was the "welbeloved daughter" of Thomas Harris, who in his 1688 will says that his "daughter Anne to live with Mis Anne Sharpe seven years if the said Mis Anne Sharpe shall live so long."[1] Thomas's sister Anne died before her husband, Richard Sharpe, who named Anne, daughter of his wife's brother/his niece by marriage, in his 1699 will.[2]
Anne, the wife of Bridgeman Joyner (born before 1665) indeed was named Anne, but apparently not this Anne (his wife is believed to be Anne Mayo). However, Anne Harris of present would have had close association with the Joyner family, as her father desired that his "sonne William Harris to live with Bridgeman Joyner seven years."[1]
Birth
Ann Harris was born about 1682 or 1684, Isle of Wight County, Virginia.[3]
Clarifying Family of Consent

In response to a proposed merge with Mayo-Harris-1 was the following comment:
Please allow me to suggest that Harris-3375 and Mayo-Harris-1 be set as an unmerged match.
Ann Harris as a distinctly different profile is a conclusion offered in Ulysses P Joyner Jr's 1975 work 'Joyner of Southampton.'
This Ann Harris is unmarried in 1699 at the will of Richard Sharp and sick and thought to have died at the time. [4] This conflicts with Bridgeman Joyner and Wife Ann Married in 1699.[5]
Ann Mayo (not a Harris) is a alternate subsequent suggestion reached in 'From the Pagan to the Nottoway, The Occupation of the Land by Europeans[6] based upon the Will and Inventories of William Mayo listing Bridgeman Joyner as a 'Brother.'[7]
Note also that another possibility has arisen: this Ann Harris may indeed have married to one Timothy HARRIS (ca. 1675-1743). At present, the evidence is sparse (matching from Ancestry.com and a lineage from their "We're Related" app), so no changes are being made until sources can be developed. Of note in the family constellation, Timothy and Ann had a son William Harris (ca. 1706-1783) who is not otherwise represented.

According to the will of her father Thomas Harris Jr in 1687, his daughter Ann was to live 7 years with Mrs. Ann Sharpe who died in 1695. Her husband Richard Sharpe's 1700 Will names this 'Ann Harris' as sickly and bedridden, Since there is no mention of her in his estate proceedings, it has always been assumed that she died before his will was probated. In any case, since she was still single in 1700, there is no way that Ann Harris could be the wife of Bridgeman named Ann in deeds as early as 1690, which deeds also name Willliam Mayo as his brother in law. William's wife Isabel did not have a sister Ann, so the wife of Bridgeman had to by an Ann Mayo.
update: dates changed on May-Harris-1 after merge proposed. I concur they are not the same.
Mayo-Harris-1 and Harris-3375 appear to represent the same person because: these appear to be the same woman. 1678 appears better birth year (looking at birth dates for her siblings) & she did not die in 1699 (see comment on Mayo-Harris-1...1699 she is mentioned in will of Richard Sharp). Please merge. Thanks!
