Name: Stogner Jimpsey Harris. Given Name: Stogner Jimpsey. Surname: Harris. A Given name was found in addition to a first name in the NAME tag.

The 1850 census find Stogner Harris living with his wife Rebecca and numerous children. Stogner married Rebecca on 9/10/1846 in Duval, Florida and she is most likely his second wife. Two children were born after their marriage, Lewis and Hampton.

Living in the household are:

  • John, 9

  • Hampton, 1

  • Note: Stogner Harris may have been married to Civility Robinson 1811-1845. No marriage record has been found to date. It also appears that the surname is alternately Robinson/Roberson. As a son is named Robinson, that may be a suggestion that the last name is Robinson. Daughter Mary's death certificate names Stogner Harris as her father but her mother is listed as unknown.

Harris-24396 and Harris-5882 appear to represent the same person because: They are most likely the same individual as most documentation supports the merge. The birth and death are likely to be1808 -1874.

This profile requires some work because this is the same person as Stogner Jimpsey Harris (1817-1888), but that profile contains various information from two similarly named people. Nancy Ursery is the correct mother, but she has two profiles (Ursery-4 and Ursery-5). The brother names will have to be sorted out also.

Some information in this profile has been drawn from Jimpsey Harris 1817-1888 and some from Stogner Jimpsey Harris 1808-1874. They both had wives and children named Civiity and lived in Georgia at similar times. I will try to make corrections, but it may take some time.

In summary, this profile needs to be separated from one of the families that it is linked with. Jimpsey was only married to Civility Robinson-5194 and one of the listed children is theirs. Stogner belongs to wife Rebecca (2nd, first was a Civility Robinson) and the parents and 2 children, mary and John. Also, there is a duplicate Stogner with a limited profile Stogner Harris (1808-).
