Thomas had married Cordelia, daughter of John Gille of Widyihall, Hertfordshire. Their children were John, Thomas, Anne, Cordelia, Jane, Ursula, Catherine, Alice, Joane, Elizabeth and Dorothy.[1]

He and his wife Cordelia were also recorded in the Harris No 3 Pedigree in the Visitation of Essex in 1634.[2] This Visitation recorded their children as Thomas Harris (eldest son), Vincent Harris (second son), Jane Harris (married Captain Henry Wroth of Hertfordshire), Ursula Harris and Dorathey Harris.

Thomas was noted in the will of his father Vincent Harris Esq. of Maldon, Essex, the will made on 21 Apr 1574 and proved on 28 Nov 1574.[3]

When he was of age he inherited the the former Carmelite Priory at Maldon, Essex, which his father had acquired in 1563.[4]

Thomas Harris of Malden, Essex, was knighted on 23 Jul 1603 in the Royal Garden at Whitehall before the King's Coronation.[5]

He was noted in a case of 1621 along with his cousin Sir William Harris of Shenfields, Margaretting, Essex.[6]

His will was made on 13 Jan 1621/1622 and proved on 06 Mar 1621/1622.[7] The principal beneficiaries were his wife Lady Cordelia Herris, his eldest son Thomas Herris and his youngest son Vincent Herris.
