HARRISON, JOHN, Wethersfield, merchant, freeman of Conn. 1657, d. 3 Aug. 1666, leaving large estate, three daughters: Rebecca, Mary, and Sarah. His widow Catharine, of unpleasant temper, was indict. as a witch, and found guilty; but the Court had more sense than the jury, set aside the verdict, and advised the prisoner to remain out of the reach of her timid or malignant neighbours.
