Eliza Laura Maria Harrison was born in 1853 in Summertown, Oxfordshire.[1] She was the daughter of Battin Harrison and Eliza (Young) Harrison. Her baptism took place at St Bartholomew's, Brightwell Baldwin, Oxfordshire on 24th August 1854.[2] Her father stated on the register that he was a gentleman and that the family were living in Summerstown, Oxfordshire at that time.
Marriage
William Henry Hunt and Eliza Laura Maria Harrison were married after banns at St Mary the Virgin, Chiddingstone, Kent on 31st July 1875.[3] William was a bachelor, aged 22, working as a labourer and living in Reading. He was the son of Richard Hunt who was a gardener. Eliza was a 21 year old spinster living in Chiddingstone and the daughter of Battin Harrison who was a solicitor. They both signed their own names on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Isaac Benjamin Young, Clara Frances Harrison, Charles Carpenter and Harriet Clarke.[4]
