Charles Harrison was born on 30 Sep 1742 in Berkeley, Charles City County. Virginia to parents Benjamin Harrison (1694-1745) and [[carter-1306|Sarah Anne (Carter) Harrison (1704-1745). He died 12 Dec 1793 (aged 51) in Surry County, Virginia and was buried in Hunting Quarter Plantation Cemetery, Sussex Co. Virginia. He married Mary Herbert (Claiborne) Harrison 1744–1775.[1]
Berkley Plantation[2] was located about eight miles west of Charles City, Virginia and was the Harrison Family Seat. Charles Harrison was born there.
During the Revolution, Charles rose to the rank of Brigadier General.[3]
