Research Notes

From the profile of descendant Faythe Eileen (Barber) Langsdorf (1918-1993), per researcher Leo Frank:
"John Barber was born February 14, 1817 in Vermont and died August 1872 in Todd County, MN. He married Sarah Harrison July 6, 1840. She was born May 5, 1922 in Ohio and died March 21, 1894 from cancer in Todd County, MN. They are both buried at Bear Head Cemetery, Bruce Township, Todd County, MN. Her parents were Benjamin [should be Bazel] Harrison and Martha (?). Benjamin was supposed to be a distant cousin of President Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901), the 23rd president of the United States (1889-1893), who was the grandson of William Henry Harrison (1773-1841), a general and ninth President of the United States (1841), and son of Benjamin Harrison (1726-1791), who was an American Revolutionary Patriot and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. It is believed the family came to Todd County shortly before John’s death. John and Sarah’s children were James M., Amos E., Frank M., Martin Luther, George W., John Henry, Nathan and Charles, who died very young from a ruptured blood vessel."

Harrison-6750 and Harrison-7210 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same mother, almost same year of birth.
