In 1911, Alice, George and their children moved from Grey Lynn, Auckland to Reservoir Street, Thames. The children attended Parawai School (now South Thames primary school).
Sadly Alice passed away in 1912 at the age of 36 due to complications during childbirth. After her death George and his children moved back to Auckland to the Newton district.
