Mrs. L.C. Mitchell of Springville, Tennessee, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007. She was 88 years of age and a resident of the McKenzie Rehabilitation Center of McKenzie. She was a member of Springville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mitchell was the former Mildred Maurine Harrison and The daughter of the late Willie and Ollie Harrison of Greenfield. She was a sister to the late Thomas, Casey, Doyle, and James Harrison of Greenfield and Martin.

She leaves L.C. Mitchell, her husband of 68 years. Her and her family lived in Martin and she was an active member of Central Baptist Church, where she was a teacher of intermediate girls in years past. She also leaves two sons, Earl Glynn "Mitch" Mitchell and David Lynn Mitchell, formerly of Martin; four grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren of David and Marsha Mitchell; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mitchell were held Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield.
