John Wesley Harrison married Sarah Bolser. This couple lived many years at Little Prairie and on Heart Prairie. Their children were: Randolph, James, Mahlon, Ida, and Jesse. John Wesley Harrison was a carpenter and built several houses and barns in LaGrange and nearby towns. He was a soldier in the 10th Regiment in the Civil War.

- 1880 47 yrs on census in La Grange, Wisc married to Julia Ann CENSUS

- 1893 60 yrs at Wetaskiwin, AB SE 16-46-23 W4 4 miles east of Wetaskiwin in Wiler school district CENSUS
- 1912 78 yrs (listed on Jesse's certificate at boarder crossing) as living in Pollard, Kansas
- 1916 Mar 12 died at Whitewater, Wisconsin , with his son Randolph signing those papers, and buried in Wood National Cemetery for soldiers of the Wisconsin infantry.
