Biography

1776 Project
Solomon Hart performed Patriotic Service in Connecticut in the American Revolution.

Solomon was born on October 1, 1724 to John Hart and Esther Gridley[1] in Kensington.[2]

He and Experience Cole were married on March 3, 1749 (or 1750).[2][1]

He was admitted to the church in Southington on September 27, 1741. He was a deacon of the church, and lived in Congee, Farmington. He moved to Tyringham, Massachusetts in 1761, and to Cornwall, Connecticut in 1765.[2]

He died, August 15th, 1805, aged 80 years, 10 months, 14 days.[2]

  • Titus, born January 24th, 1754; died October 31st, 1831, aged 77. He was deacon of the church in North Cornwall, Conn.
  • Lot, born , 1756; married  ; died February 21st, 1826, near Hudson, N.Y., aged 70.
  • Phineas, born , 1758; married  ; died November 7th, 1828, aged 70.
  • Elias, born , 1759; married  ; Philomela Burnham; died February 22d, 1834, aged 75. Jemima, born
  • Experience, [born August 1768; married October 1, 1783, Aaron Baldwin; died . From Robert A. Baldwin] He was a member of the Methodist Church.
  • Solomon, born May 8th, 1766; married , 1786, Jerusha Beach. Child, born  ; died in infancy.
