Hi Doug,

I've sent you a series of duplicates that will need to be merged. If you would approve them we can get them all merged quickly. On Mayflower descendant profiles born before 1700, you'll find that the vast majority already exist on WikiTree, so please do a thorough search before creating a new one. As you're building your tree, if you find a parent of one of your profiles already on WikiTree, you need to link to it using the edit page for your "child" on the right hand side. Add the parent's ID to connect them.

Cheers,
Bobbie

Hi, Doug

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Doug,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send a private message.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.

Welcome back Doug

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family as your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to help answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing
