Mrs. David Shively died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Shock in East Manchester, Thursday about three o'clock. Death was caused by the infirmities of old age. The funeral will be held at the Old Order Dunkard church northwest of North Manchester Saturday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. O.A. Custer will conduct the service and burial will be in the Swank cemetery.
Mrs Shively was the dauthter of Israel Harter, one of the first settlers of this community. She was 87 years old and was born in this locality in 1938. She was one of the first white children born in this locality and her entire life has been spent about North Manchester. She married David Shively who died several years ago. Surviving are one son, S.H. Shively, and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Shock and Mrs Martha Miller, all of this locality.
