Polly Hartman deceased is named as the sister and heir of Jacob "Smeather" deceased [son of Wil and Anna Catharina Schmithers] in proceedings of the Rowan County Court of Law and Equity. "Polly Hartman is dead, & has left Six Children, to wit, Caty, John, Peter, William, Mary & Sally."[1]
