He had been in failing health since 1950 and a patient at the hospital since June 5. Born September 28, 1904, in Jeannette, he was a son of Charles C. and Alice (Miller) Hartman. He married Edna C. Nail March 27, 1924. Surviving are his wife, his father of Ligonier, a son, Frederick R. Hartman of Huntingdon, a daughter, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Corbin of Canadensis and six grandchildren. Brothers and sisters surviving are Charles A. Hartman, Tazwell, Va.; Donald S. Hartman, Catskill, N.Y.; Vance M. Hartman, Lewistown; Mrs. Jack (Alice Jean) Neal; Rio Grande City, Tex.; and Mrs. Phyllis Phillip, Catskilll, N.Y. He was of the Presbyterian faith and had formerly lived in Huntingdon, moving to the Philadelphia area in 1950. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
