Note:
Note--Wikipedia, Lorenzo Dow (25 Aug 2008):
"Lorenzo Dow (October 16, 1777–February 2, 1834) was an eccentric minister whose infamy, influence and travels throughout the country led to many thousands of U.S. children of the early 19th century to be named after him. The 1850 U.S. census lists Lorenzo as one of the most popular first names in America."
[1] The Van Hise Family Tree by Olive Van Hise:
"Lorenzo Dow Harvey, State School Superintendent of Wisconsin, from 1898 to 1902, was the son of John S. and Mary (Sanborn) Harvey. John Harvey was the brother of ... Lydia (Harvey) Goodrich (1797-1879)."
[Misstated--might better say that John's father was the brother of Lydia.]
