Samuel died intestate and his probate case 26540 was dated 4 April 1715. [4] His widow Mary was awarded one-third, the eldest son Thomas, earned two shares, and Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Samuel, Abraham, Jonathan, Richard and Dorothy each had a share.
The widow Mary married Joseph Tidd on 30 August 1722, in Bradford, Essex, Massachusetts. [5]
She and Joseph moved to Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts, and she died there 4 January 1731. [6][7]
