Thankful was born, 10 Aug 1754, in Hardwick, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She is the daughter of Moses Haskell and Lydia Clark. Thankful, d. of Moses and Lydia, Aug. 10, 1754. ^[2]

Marriage

Solomon Gilbert and Thankful Haskill were married November 20, 1783, in Wilmington, Vermont. They had the following children:

Amasa Gilbert March 22, 1787–1830​​

Ebenezer Gilbert November 3, 1788–Deceased​​

The first five children were born in Wilmington. The others were born in Enosburg, Franklin County, Vermont.

In 1820, Solomon and Thankful owned no real estate and were destitute. They were probably supported by their son Clark. After Clark's death, Solomon and Thankful moved to Montreal where three other sons lived.

Thankful died at age 86 on August 1, 1841 in Montreal, Jacques Carter, Québec, Canada. She's buried there.
