Biography

Occupation: Mariner.

Marriage

William Haskall married Miriam Hill in Salem on May 1, 1679[1]

Children

William and Mariam had,

in Salem, documented:
  • John, b. Feb. 14, 1679-80 (translated from 14: 12m: 1679 old-style), bp. Oct. 28, 1694 in Beverly, m. Emme Tailer in Beverly on Dec. 27, 1704, same day as his brother
  • William b. Jan. 13, 1681-2, bp. Oct. 28, 1694 in Beverly,

m. Mary Stevens, Dec. 27, 1704, same day as his brother

Likely in Salem, possibly in Beverly, not documented:
  • Margaret, bp. Oct. 28, 1694, "Haskal - Marget, d. William, sr., dec, and Miriam[2]

Group Baptism

John, William, Marget, and Miriam 'Haskal', sons and daughters of "William, sr. dec., and Miriam," were all bap(tized in Beverly on Oct. 28, 1694[3]

That provides evidence of the birth of Margaret and Miriam to this family, not sure when, but before 10/28/1694, or where, either Salem or Beverly. And that provides evidence that their father William had died before then, therefore "before 1695" and presumably in Beverly. More research into that, and into William's birth, might be helpful.

Death

after June 1690 baptism of wife, and before Oct 1694 baptism of children

Haskell-1272 and Haskell-411 appear to represent the same person because: There is very little info on Haskell-1272, but the dates align and the info from Chronicles of the Haskell Family page 34-35 seems to confirm that these profiles are both of William, son of Roger Haskell , so I adopted Haskell-1272 to facilitate a merge. Chronicles of the Haskell Family is available online. Author is Ira J. Haskell.

Haskell-1272 and Haskell-411 may be the same person. Haskell-1272 has no information other than dates of birth and death (1645-1690), but these coincide closely with the birth and death dates of Haskell-411.

Haskell-1045 and Haskell-411 appear to represent the same person because: Information on -411 is correct. See bio

Haskell-1652 and Haskell-411 appear to represent the same person because: These two profiles are the same person, though arrived at in different ways. -1652 has the dates and locations, with good sources, the same mother, and the spouse and children. same father too, though not yet formally added. -411 has the parents and siblings, and clearly points to the same dates and places. They are the same person, and should be united in a single profile.
