John Haskell, son of William Haskell and Mary Tybbott,^[1] was born about 1649^[2] in Beverly, Massachusetts^[3][4] or, more likely, in Gloucester, Massachusetts.^[5]

John married Mary Baker on 20 May 1685^[1] in Gloucester, Massachusetts.^[6] They had the following children, none of which had issue:^[2][7][8]
