Biography

John Haskell, son of William Haskell and Mary Tybbott,[1] was born about 1649[2] in Beverly, Massachusetts[3][4] or, more likely, in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[5]

John married Mary Baker on 20 May 1685[1] in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[6] They had the following children, none of which had issue:[2][7][8]

  • John, b.3 Apr 1686, d.21 Apr 1686;
  • Edith, b.22 May 1687, d. abt. 1760, never married;
  • Mary, b.24 Aug 1688, d.aft. 1718, never married;
  • Hannah, twin, b.21 Dec 1690, d.23 May 1706;
  • Sarah, twin, b. 21 Dec 1690, d.young;
  • Ruth, b.29 Dec 1693, d.Jul 1776, m.John Clark;
  • John, b.8 Oct 1695, d.29 Sep 1774, m.Grace Cummings 1723.

John died on 2 Feb 1718[1][4] in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[2][9]
