Biography

Zachariah Hascall, the son of John and Mehitable Hascall, was born at Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts, on 11 Apr 1718.^[1][2]

On August 20, 1745, Zachariah Haskel married Keziah Goss at Hardwick, Worcester, Massachusetts. They had at least 6 children, registered at Hardwick:^[3]

Sarah Haskell Rose Spencer April 8, 1747–April 20, 1805​​

John Haskell July 17, 1749–1818​​

Keziah Haskell Brooks May 19, 1751–October 6, 1805​​

The Inventory of the estate of Zachariah "Haskel," late of Hardwick, who died intestate, was attested to on 11 Dec 1759. It names Zachariah as a "taylor" and states that those who took the inventory were shown the estate by widow, Kezia "Haskel." Kezia Haskell was the administrator of the estate. By 16 Oct 1762, Kezia is shown in the estate papers as the wife of John Rose.^[4]

Zachariah served in the French and Indian Wars.
