Biography

Daniel Haskins was born about 1697 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He is the son of Richard Haskins and Mary Tisdale.[1]

Daniel married Mehitable Badger[2] in September 1718 in Norwich, Connecticut. [3]

Daniel and Mehitable were said to have had 12 children: Anna, Richard, Mary, Mehitable, Dorcas, Dorcas 2, Elkanah, Irene, Martha, Barnabas, Enoch, and Daniel Jr. [4]

Daniel died on 20 April 1754, at age 57, in Franklin, New London, Connecticut. [5] He is buried at Old Plains Burring Grounds Franklin, New London, Connecticut. [6]

Probate

His will is dated 15 April 1755 and proved on 6 May 1755 in Norwich. He mentions his wife, Mehitabel, and his children, Richard (eldest son), Eleanah, Enoch, and Daniel, and his daughters, Anne Wentworth (eldest), Mary Hide, Mehitabel Fox, Dorcas, and Irenah. His inventory was completed on 15 May 1755.[7]

In 1756, his estate was set out to the widow, Richard (eldest son), Ann Wentworth (eldest daughter), Mary Hide, Mehetable Fox, Elkanah, Dorcas, Irene (youngest daughter), Enoch, and Daniel (youngest son).[8]
