Eldridge's Henry Genealogy (1913) identifies her as the Elizabeth who was the wife of James Henry.[4] No record of the marriage has been found, but her father's will calls her "Elizabeth Henrys."[5] She married James Henry after 1720 (the date of her grandmother Elizabeth [Nevinson] Bond's will which refers to her by her maiden name)[6] and before 12 April 1722 (the date of her father Samuel Hastings' will which refers to her as Elizabeth Henrys).[4] Ten children were born to the marriage.[7]
↑ Eldridge gives her date of birth as March 8, 1693, but this seems unlikely. This date was after the death of her father's first wife and before his marriage to his second wife, and it would be unusual to wait so long to baptize a child. However, there may have some delay in baptizing Elizabeth; a note after her father's name in the baptismal record states "who own'd ye Covt. [Covenant]," which suggests that he had not previously been a member of the church.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
James & Elizabeth (Hastings) Henry are my 7th great grandparents and I have the following information to add. Elizabeth Hastings b. 1697 @ Watertown, Mass. d. 1751 @ Hadley, Mass, buried at Evergreen Cemetery in South Hadley, Mass. bapt. Nov. 29, 1697 (pg.94 of The Hastings Memorial : a genealogical account of the descendants of Thomas Hastings of Watertown, Mass. from 1634 to 1864 : with an appendix and index. Boston: S.G. Drake, 1866, 185 pgs.)
Old note; profile has been revised, but the issue could reappear in the future:
I have Elizabeth Hastings as an ancestor, married to James Henry and the mother of 10 children, including Sanuel Henry. Thus, it bothers me that this profile has her dying as a small child. Several sources (none of them primary sources) give November 29, 1697 as the date of her baptism, not of her death. Since Elizabeth Nevinson married Samuel Hastings in 1694, the 1693 birthdate does not accord with the listed parentage -- she probably was born later.
