Biography

Born about 1557 Katharine Hastings was daughter of George Hastings of Gopsall in Leicestershire,^[1] and his wife, Dorothy Port.

In 1579 she became the second wife of Sir Edward Unton of Wadley House, Littleworth in Berkshire, ^[2]son of Edward Unton and his wife, Anne Seymour.^[1] No children were born of the marriage. ^{[3] [4]}

After Edward's death on 27 June 1589, Katharine married Sir Walter Chetwynd of Ingestre in Staffordshire. ^[5][1] Again there were no children.^[6]

Katherine died 25 May 1638 aged 81 and has a memorial at Ingestre. ^[6]
