Asenath Hatch was born in Thornton, Grafton County, New Hampshire on June 21, 1809. She was the daughter of Ansel Hatch and Mary (Polly) Webster Hatch.[1][2]
Sometime before the age of 20, she left home to work in the textile mills in Lowell, Massachusetts. There she met Ira Sanderson of Littleton, whom she married in Lowell at the Universalist parsonage on August 20, 1829. Ira was the son of Samuel Sanderson and Lydia Whitcomb Sanderson. [3][1][2][4]
Asenath died in Littleton, Middlesex County, August 5, 1876 at the age of 74 years, 11 months. She was buried in Westlawn Cemetery, in Littleton. [5][6][1]
