Death

Research Notes

William's will was written on 28 August 1784, but the date of recording was not present in the will book. Looking a few pages earlier in the will book, there is found a will that was written in 1785. So it's very possible the date of death, and when the will was recorded was 1785 (not 1784).[2] By April 1785, the yearly tax list stopped listing William Hatchett, and listed Margaret Hatchett instead. So the date of death is between 28 August 1784 and April 1785.
