Biography

Mary "Polly" was born in Kentucky in 1829 to parents George Hatfield (1804-1883) and Nancy Jane (Whitt) Hatfield (abt.1810-1891) [1].

She married Elexious Lewis Musick III (1827-1907) in 1850 [2]. They made their home in Pike, Kentucky [3]. Polly and Elexious had at least four children [4] [5] [6]:

  1. Emily Jane (Musick) Grizzle (1850-1919)
  2. Granville G. Musick (1858-1921)
  3. Celia Hatfield (1861-1923)
  4. Rebecca (Musick) Hatfield (1869-)

Mary passed away in 1906 and was laid to rest in the Musick Family Cemetery in Clinchport, Scott County, Virginia [1]

Hatfield-1423 and Hatfield-372 appear to represent the same person because: Hatfield-1423 and Hatfield-372 are marked as previously rejected matches. However, they clearly represent the same Mary Hatfield, wife of Elexious Musick III. The only difference is the birthday on 1 profile shows Jan 5 vs Jan 29 1829. Find a Grave shows Jan 29. The sources listed for the Jan 5th birthday is the 1880 census, which only gives the estimated birth year, not the actual birth date.
