Mark Odom Hatfield was born 12 Jul 1922 in Dallas, Oregon to parents Charles Hatfield and Dovie Odom.

In 1958 he married Antoinette Kuzmanich.

In 1996 Mark retired, having never lost an election in the 46 years he served as an elected official in 11 campaigns.^[1]

He passed away 7 August 2011 at age 89 in Portland, Oregon and was buried in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.^[2]
