Mansfield Hatfield (B:1747 in MD) is the son of John Mathias Hatfield (B: 1717 in NJ) the son of John Hatfield Sr. (B:1688 in VA) the son of Adam Hatfield (Hartsvelder) (B: 1655 in Germany) the son of Jurian Georgius Hartsvelder) (B:1630 Germany) the son of George (Gorg) Hartsfelder (B:1610 Germany). George arrived in Germantown, PA 1676 according to immigration reports. The Hatfields may be German not English.
