Biography
George Hatfield was born January 6, 1804, in Floyd County, Kentucky, or Honaker, Russell County, Virginia, USA [1].
George Hatfield married Nancy Jane Whitt about 1836 [2]. George and Nancy had at least 16 children who they raised on their farm in Pike County, Kentucky [3] [4] [5]:

George passed away in 1883 and was laid to rest in the Hatfield family cemetery in Ransom, Pike County, Kentucky [1]. He left a will dated 28 April 1883 naming his son Anderson Hatfield as executor [6] [7] .
