Biography

Catherine was born about 1837 likely in Pine Township, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA. She was the daughter of Charles Hatfield, and his first wife, Annie.[1]

By 1850, major changes had taken place in the Hatfield household. Catherine's mother, Annie had died. Her father, Charles was remarried. This woman was named Drusilla. However, this may be an error from the census record. It's more likely this woman was actually Mercy Conway. The family had moved and Catherine was living with her parents and siblings in Snowden, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[2]

In 1861, Charles and Mercy Hatfield and their family were living in Colchester Township, Essex, Canada West.[3]

Death and Burial

Catherine died January 31, 1917 in Pontiac, Livingston, Illinois, United States. She was buried at Southside Cemetery, Pontiac, Livingston, Illinois.[4]
