Biography

"Mrs. Julius Hollister died, at Owego, N. Y.' Monday, March 25, 1895, Mary Havens, wife of Julius Hollister, aged 79 years. She is survived by her husband and one son, Charles The funeral was held at the residence, corner of Central avenue and Fox street, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. M. Bartholomew officiating. There was a large gathering of friends, the older people of the village being specially numerous. She was one of the original members of the Owego Congregational church when it was organized in 1810 and remained a faithful and much esteemed member until her death. But three of the original members survive her."
