Biography

Merritt Lamb Haviland, son of James Haviland and Hannah (Ingraham) Haviland, was born on 10 Aug 1864 at Rensselaer County, New York, USA.[1] His mother died in 1868 and he and his sister, Minnie, were raised by their grandmother, Phebe (Purdy) Ingraham.[2] He appeared on the census of 23 June 1870 in the household of his grandmother at Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York. [3] He appeared on the census of 14 June 1875 in the household of his grandmother at Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York.[4]

Merritt died in 1951 and was buried at Millertown Cemetery, Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York. His memorial has a photo of his gravestone.[5]
