Census Data

Isaac HAVILAND, Jr.
3 males 0-10
1 male 16-26
1 female 10-16
1 female 16-26
(Notes: His wife Joanna Stedwell (1799) would have been the 1 female 16-26. The 3 males 0-10 were likely to be their sons John Purdy (1817), David Akin (1818) and Andrew Jackson (1820). That’s assuming that census was taken after 18 Oct 1820, when Andrew Jackson Haviland was born. The female 10-16 is a mystery. Could be his niece Amanda, the daughter of his oldest brother John. She was born in 1804. I don't know who else would be a candidate, unless they had farm hands living with them or something. But I don't know why Amanda would not be living with her own family at that time, who would have needed her help with lots of little brothers running around. The only other daughter in John's house was her little sister Cynthia who was 8 years old in 1820 and her only other sibling was her older brother Henry. I can't find any other nieces the right age.)
