Sally (Hawkins) Bayless was born in Tennessee.
Sarah "Sally" Hawkins was born about 1784 in Hawkins, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry Hawkins and Susanna Hawkins.
She married John Bayless on October 12, 1802, in Grainger, Tennessee,[1][2] and they had six children during their marriage.
Sometime after their last child was born, she contracted tuberculosis and she died on December 31, 1839 in Washington County, Tennessee at the age of 54. Cause of death was Consumption, the early term for Tuberculosis. [3]

Research Notes

Some records show 1798 as her birthdate but she could not have been born in 1798 and married in 1802 when she was 4 years old.
Record of her death (see Source 3) shows her age at death is 54, therefore she was born about 1874/5.
Her father's will(1808) names among his daughters, a Susanna and a Sally Bailis [Bayless].
In a marriage record signed October 12, 1802 by John Bailis [Bayles] and her father, Henry Hawkins, her name is recorded as Sarah Hawkins.

Reply to April's question. I haven't because I have to verify their information with sources. Sarah Hawkins' profile was imported by another member,
Just a quick question. Why haven't you added the names of her parents, when they are clearly listed in the biography?
