Biography
William was born about 1834. He is the son of William Hawkins and Ann Quaife. [1]
The Hawkins family set sail from London, England on 15 Jul 1849, then Plymouth on 24 Jul 1848 aboard the ship, Emperor and arrived in Sydney, New South Wales on 4 Nov 1848. The family consisted of parents, William (aged 40 Farm labourer) and Anne (39) and their children, George (18), Emily (16), Elizabeth (15), William (14), Edward (7), Richard (5), Robert (3) and Thomas (2)[2][3].
He passed away in 1916.[4]
