ST. ALBANS.
(From Our Correspondent.)
One of the oldest residents of the district passed away early on Sunday morning last, in the person of Mrs. Floyd, of Higher Macdouald. The deceased lady was something over 80 years of age, and leaves a family of seven sons and three daughters and several grand-children. Her husband pre-deceased her many years ago, and was one of the best natured and straight-forward men one could wish to meet. The same can be said of Mrs. Floyd. They could always be relied upon any hour of the day or night to help any one in need. The remains were laid beside those of her husband in the local Church of Eng land cemetery, the burial service being conducted by the Rev. Mr. Ballance. [5]
