John Alexander was born around 1815.
He was a widower when he married Mary Jane MacAuley on 9 Nov 1875 in Banbridge, Ireland. Her father was John MacAulay. His father was Francis Hawthorne, blacksmith. Witnesses were James Dalzell and Ann Ellen Hawthorne.[1]
